Activate the camera by pressing the camera button on the side twice. Then open options and option 8 (Camera Settings) then option 2, (preferences). The shutter sounds are in there - hope that helps mate.

In some countries it is a legal requirement that camera phones make a shutter noise when they take a picture, even if the rest of the phone is in silent mode. Apparently it is to prevent candid camera shots, or peeping toms.

I don't think it is a requirement in the UK, but because of the way the phone Biz is globalised, a lot of phone makers have a loud shutter noise for all markets.

yep i did that, i will double chk again, doesnt hurt to double chk i guess.

yep thats right, its law that it must produce a sound even on silient but i am pretty sure the d900 made no sound at all during shutter and taking picture, i also noticed that it made a disgusting noise just before taking a picture after i had messed around with her fone . hehe .

i just want someone who has the same fone to double chk with me .
