Bluetooth Internet from SEK800i to laptop?

    Hi everyone

New to the forum and have an urgent question I would like answered if possible.

My gran has broadband but it's only 2mb download limit and she is not willing to upgrade so I can't even set up wireless internet via that.

So I was wondering if I am able to connect my phones' internet connection to my laptop via blouetooth or any other option please?

    Help appreciated - cheers

I don't get it. Why would you want to do that?

A wireless ADSL router can be had for about £40 (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...ductID=397730), so replacing the modem your gran has will pay for itself in no time compared to the data costs on a mobile. Never mind that you are not going to get anything like 2mbit downloads off a mobile, even with 3G.

I actually get 1.6mbps off my Samsung Z560 which has HSDPA enabled, so thats not bad for a phone!

I didn't realise HSDPA could go that high, although that won't work on a K800

You're right, my K800 does about 350kbps MAX it would seem over 3G. 3G data is also horrendously expensive unless you're on Web'n'Walk from T-Mobile or on the 3 Xseries tariff (and if you're on 3, you'll be lucky to get 3G coverage).
