    Problems with O2 X3

Yesterday I got my new 02 X3-- had been waiting for ages for it, so was totally pleased when I got it all up and running and playing mp3's.

Today I put in my Mini-SD [with the adapter] to put some new mp3's in, when problems struck-- I couldn't delete 3 of my previous mp3's. After a lot of effort, I managed it, and put new mp3's on-- but they wouldn't play on my phone.

I opened up the 'Music' part of the Mini SD, and came up with a lot of Folders and Files that were corrupt, and they wont delete as the computer can't find the source. It says the SD is full, yet has no mp3's on it, only these wierdly named files. If someone could please let me know if this is happened to them, and if they managed to fix it, I'd be so greatful.

    Thanks <3

Hmm, really shouldn't be any problems here.

How did you transfer the files too the card, via Actisync?

if so which version you using?

If you used a USB adaptor, well try formatting the sd and trying again!

I had nothing but problems transfering via actisync when i owned a Motorola mx220. Such a crap phone, never buy motorola expecting it too be smart.

If you've got a USB adaptor there are a few tricks you could try, fdisk (fix disk) from a command prompt can, not only try to repair, but also tell you about errors on the card.

Its also possible that you've got some duff flash, i had a 128meg miniSD die on me, but before it went dead, it started going really slow (this is a common sympton, as the controller tries too find 'live' flash cells) before finally kicking hte bucket.

Tried running chkdsk (not fdisk) on your mini-SD card? Or try formatting the card?

Activesync write files to external cards in quite a dirty way. Most music I put on the SD card through Activesync won't play on my SD based MP3 player.
