    w880i or nokia n73

    Getting a a new contract. (dolphin30)

Looks to me like these are the top phones atm, as i dont wanna pay 100 quid for a n95

I love the look of the w880i but havent had a S/E since the T610. But apparently this one is built very well

The n73, has a v nice big screen and does look very nice, so im very much torn between them

Does anyone have any advice they could offer?

I havent had a new phone since i was 17(21) so wanna make sure i get right one. Has too look nice and not look out of date in 6 months. All i do is call and text, and take the odd photo on a night out, so the added extras arnt massively important

    Thanks all

IMO, those the two phones are not really comparable. The N73 is designed to be a compact smartphone, whereas the W880i is designed to be a ultra-compact mobile phone.

The K800i is a closer match to the N73, though the N73 edge it in terms of features. Going with the W880i is the equivalent of sacrificing features for size. AFAIK, the only thing it does well compared to it's older simblings (W850i and K800i) is in music playback.

The W880i can do calls and texts (as all mobiles), but it does lose autofocus in it's camera (and you also lose radio playback present in other SE phones). You may want to play with it's buttons in a store, as their size have attracted criticisms. Still, has far as slim mobiles go, it is one of the better choices (and my favorite). I must admit being quite fond of the SE user interface in general.

so u recon the n73 wins it? cause my gf wants the n73 too, but i saw the w880i recently on the orange site and it did catch my eye, but havent had a go on it at all. Ive always liked the nokias for texting and pure familiarity of use
