My turn for a new phone

First off, thanks to everyone who gave me advice on my last thread. I ended up getting the E570 for my missus.

Anyway, now it's my turn to try to decide on a new phone as my contract with O2 has come round to upgrade time.

I currently have a Samsung E900 which I love the look of, but hate using mainly due to the stupid "touch sensitive" buttons.

I've had a quick look around, but nothing stands out as an obvious choice, there are things like the SE W880, or the Samsung U600 (with the stupid buttons), and a few others, but I'm struggling to be inspired.

    Please help.

Ive got a w810i at the moment, but Im due an upgrade with o2 next week, so Im in the same boat.

Ive looked as the Samsung u600, SE K810i and the LG Prada. Im not keen on the w880i looks wise at all. The u600's touch sensitive buttons are supposed to be alot more user friendly that the e900's.

As you said the current phones available are rather uninspiring.

You could always wait for something to come out that floats your boat so to speak. I'm in the same situation, I've been out of contract since September last year and was hoping that something would come onto the market that would take my fancy.

The N95 looked promising but there seems to have been a lot of quality control issues (whining speakers, wobbly sliders etc), and the battery life is supposed to be apalling though I've not experienced it first hand.

I'm waiting for the new batch of Smart Phones to come out as I'd like to be able to log support tickets for my customers when I'm out the house.

It seems like a pretty poor time to be looking to upgrade.

Waiting for better phones to come out might be a good idea, but there are a couple of drivers for upgrading now.

Firstly, as I said earlier, I hate using my E900.
Secondly, I resent paying my full monthly line rental, which include the subsidy for a phone, when I'm not getting one.

Maybe I should just switch to pay as you go and avoid this yearly dilemma.
