Arrow Cheap as possible PAYG phone?

So my mum is struggling (see here).

Her current mobile is knackered and I said I'd grab a cheap mobile that has good battery life and is simple to use - texts and calls only, no fancy stuff at all.

I'd prefer it to be a Nokia as that is what she's used to, and I'd prefer it was on o2. Neither are mandatory.

Any suggestions? - looking at very, very cheap if possible. I'm with o2 on a fairly expensive contract so I was thinking of ringing CS and trying to blag something.

Any old Nokia like the 1112 if they're still sold (ebay?) - I still have one and it works awesomely with a 1-week standby time. Brand new it was only about £12.

    Asda Mobile - 8p/min voice, 4p texts.

Tesco were doing some Sagem something or rathers, on Orange for £5, no idea if they're still doing them though sorry.
Picked up 2 myself, one's now designated as my "fishing phone" since the battery lasts absolute donkeys years and I don't have to charge it over a week fishing trip.

I'm sorry to hear about your mum, hope she makes full recovery.

3 make a weird brand payg phone for only 30. In the cheap department Nokia is the safest option. If you have been on a contract for a long time then I would say try to haggle and re use any old phones you have laying around (if you say that you don't need an upgrade you might end up paying much less)

Got my uncle a Samsung from ASDA the other day on Orange for £10 but it came with £5 free credit. Very easy to use and actually doesn't look too bad!

Samsung E2120 Not sure if it's any good or not, but its direct from O2.

If you ant to stick with nokia then 1661 £9.95 from carphonewarehouse might be decent, but has a shorter talk time than the one above. You can class it as an upgrade (assuming your mum is currently on O2) so you don't have to top it up with £10.
