Question MP3 Software For Nokia 6230i

Straight to the point here, the mp3 playing software on this phone is cack! The sound is good, software o so cack. Yep, definately cackola.

Soooooo, basically does anyone know of somewhere that I can maybe get hold of a new bit o software for this phone to play the music? Symbian 40? Java?

Any help would be gratefully accepted as the lack of playlistability is really starting to get on me man boobs....

    Cheers!

I think you're stuck with the Nokia browser. Never seen any add on MP3 apps for nokia series 40 handsets, and I know quite a few people who would kill for one. You can't run any old Symbian app, and I'll be blowed if I can find a java mp3 player for a mobile phone. Sorry.

Its pretty hard (so far been impossible for myself) to find replacements for the default players (both media and mp3). The media one cant even fast forward.. which can be tedious upon belief. If I find one I will let you know.

Had a few S60 phones, all oif which were very good but I just found them way too big! This phone is quite small hence the choice. The lack of a good bit o software is mildy irritating though!

I had a 6230, mainly becuase it had an MP3 player. Not only is the phones MP3 firmware terrible, the nokia music manager is complete crap. I then switched from years of nokia use to SE. Never looked back.
