Re: Which UK network is leading the pack or is on the ball?

I've had money taken after contract end for 6 months by tmobile.

Vodaphone had their usage tracker offline, and stung me for a £120 bill.

    Orange have been great.

Id say T mobile. They have excellent customer service.

For charges, again id say t mobile.

The contracted ones you seem to get more for your money compared to others. Im on that new solo thing they released. I pay £15 a month and i get 650 texts and 350 minutes.

Comparison, i was going to pay £20 a month and i would have got unlimited texts and 500 minutes, my mate is on o2 with their similar thing Simplicity, and he pays £25 and gets 600 minutes and unlimited texts. So pretty much similar to tmobiles £20 solo.

Re: Which UK network is leading the pack or is on the ball?

I've decided to with O2 with both numbers as they seems to be the best all round.
I was seriously looking at going with T-mobile for a long time with deals like web and walk etc, but their lack of decent coverage nailed it for me.

Now all that I've got to do is get my PACs it seems, from Vodafone which I've heard can be a nightmare! I've been with Vodafone for 8 years and i'm not sure how to go about it in a ruthless fashion!

    Another vote for vodaphone..

I have tried the rest but their coverage doesn't seem to be quite as good. Mobile internet packages from vodaphone also look pretty tempting compared to some of the other companies.

I went for 3 - they offer a far wider options/features with handsets.

No problem with reception or service either. with excellent prices!

Re: Which UK network is leading the pack or is on the ball?

I voted 'other' as I'm between contracts (about to leave Orange (10 yr customer, no real dramas, gone downhill from being outstanding to satisfactory) to go to O2 for an iPhone (frustrating but fruitful ordering process this week) so no comment on them yet).

Amazing how far Orange have slipped - the same thread 3 or 4 years ago wouldn't have had Orange 4th, just ahead of 3 and behind T-Mobile...

Re: Which UK network is leading the pack or is on the ball?

To be honest still looking at Tmobile, since they are the only network my area with 3G signal, judging by their coverage checker. Also they are offering Solo 20 with 500 mins and unlimited texts for £20 per month within only 30 days if i want to transfer/cancel.
I might take this deal then wait for iphone deals on O2 to improve then switch.

Re: Which UK network is leading the pack or is on the ball?

T-Mobile''s customer service is appalling. No end of trying to get a sensible answer out of them.

O2 on the other hand, I emailled them pointing out some facts from their T&Cs and they replied back promptly, apologised, put things right, and gave a month's free line rental. Very impressive. Network coverage is fantastic as well, whereas T-Mobile's is pretty poor outside major towns or cities. So O2 win it for me, although I havent treated myself to dealing with Vodafone yet.

Re: Which UK network is leading the pack or is on the ball?

T-mobile by far. Over the last 22months, iv foudn their customer service second to none! They have good price plans, good extras and after 2+ years of being with them, i cant recommend them strongly enough.

Case in point, i renewed my policy with them 4 months ago. Next month i am going to South africa for a month to visit my family. I realised that my trip to south africa was timed perfectly for my phone bill. I took off the day it reset, and landed the day after it reset a month later, meaning i would have to pay for an entire month of no usage to pay for.

Figured id call them up and see if they would, as a goodwill gesture, lower my flex 30 (£25 + £7.50 WnW a month) to their cheapest band whilst i was out there, then bring it back up to what it is now when i got back. Spoke to a lady on the phone & explained the above and asked if there was anything she could do. She said she was fairly confident it could be done, but warned T-mobile policy was no contract lowering until 11months (which is understandable - every provider does it). 2mins after she put me on hold she came back and said her team leader had said that was fine, and that she would give me a call back when i got home and check everythign was the way i want it. Result me saving £17.00, a saving which T-mobile could have quite happily turned around and denied me!

Iv got numerous stories like this where t-mobile went above & beyond to help me out, and i cant recommend them strongly enough. Already put my girlfriend & my sister both on t-mobiles accounts!

    I think three.
But I do have to admit they started very badly. But now they got their network sorted out and I never had an issue with the cs department.
