    Bluetooth dongle for 6230i?

    Hi folks

Can anyone recommend a decent bluetooth dongle for a Nokia 6230i? My daughter just got one of these and wants to use all of it's wireless capabilities but I know nowt about it so I was hoping someone could advise me on what I might need and hopefully where I might get it..

    Any help much appreciated

Head to any mobile store and they should have them. We have them in our store and they are £30 with a 100m range.

Dead easy to use, just install the disc then after that put the dongle into the USB port, windows will find and install it. Then you search for Bluetooth devices on the phone and pair the device up . From there you can transfer files between device and PC with ease.

If she is just wanting to transfer files between device and PC though, keep it simple and buy a data cable. You can normally get them for about £12 from the smaller independant dealers. This way it will find the phone as an additional drive letter on the PC and you can just drag and drop whatever you want.

Thanks. A data cable sounds like the easier option so I'll probably go for that but just out of interest - or if I do change my mind and decide to get a dongle - which brands are good in terms of reliability/decent software?

I havn't had a chance to tinker with them and they are quite generic by the look of them. Like I mentioned the ones we have are capable of 100m broadcast but quite pricey for what they are. Good thing is that if you do decide to get the dongle then you can pair up any phones or bluetooth devices you own to it for file transferring. Only one phone can be connected and using it at any one time though!

(Though I should admit the one in the laptop gets more use these days)
