    N73 Dictionary...?

    Hey guys,

this may be a simple/stupid question, but how do i change my wordlist? I've added a couple of words like ASF and HD, which come up before 'are' and 'if', and its really annoying with my old-old-old SE you could see your wordlist and add/remove words from it, but I cant figure out a way on this phone

I think there's a trick around this problem.

When writing a text, type in some junk and when it gives you the option to spell the word type in "are", "if" or whatever word is bugging you. It should put it back to the top of the list.

good shout, i'll re-teach it the words i want thanks for that!

[e!] worked for hd->if, but not asf->are, bugger, halfway there i guess, may backup the phone and do a factory reset and just avoid adding words im only ever going to use once

all N73s are a bit slow... i changed the product code and slapped on the Music Edition firmware (3.0705.1.0.31) (hit *#0000# to see yours), rather than the default o2 one and its not bad... apparently the v4 firmware is meant to improve the speed of the phone further

the music edition is sposed to be slower due to the media player being constantly run in the background.
Tbh is there any point in changing the firmware? I'm tempted but on contract. What features does the internet vs music edition boost other each other?

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

im on contract too, the main reason was to get rid of the o2 branding, and to get a newer version of the firmware - hopefully better functionality/faster/etc

    Re: N73 Dictionary...?

yeah i see your point but as far as upgrading the firmware you coulda just used the offical nokia software to up your current version to a newer one...
i'm guessing you were referring to trying a different models firmware to combat slowness etc.
if so like i said before having the media player constantly minimised rinses the battery and probably slower!
