    Cheapest N95 Contract in UK

    Hi All,

I've got a query and would like some help, please!

I have had my current contract only 8 months into 18 months but as someone in the family is willing to take the remainder of it if I meet half, £25, if you're wondering. As a result, this will likely be the reason to limit my new contract spend!

So what is the cheapest deal you have come across in the UK on the N95 or 8800 Scirocco. What colour is the preferred one on these, Silver or Black?

Might be interested in Cashback deals but these seem to good to be true, is this the case?
Have any of you folks taken out anything like this instore or online, who with and what have your dealings been like - joy or horror?

Thanks folks for reading, look forward to your replies!

Sorry I which do you mean? What would you prefer? If you have money to burn get one of those gold 8800's

If you want a N95 Nokia may have a new version out soon http://www.tech.co.uk/gadgets/phones...eid=2133563228*
so it might be worth hanging on a bit to get that or the original N95 might be a bit cheaper.

*Disclaimer: I've never used the www.tech.co.uk site before, google sent me to it yesterday while I was looking for something else, so if nokia do not release the N95 8GB don't blame me - but it does seem likely as they do a N91 8GB

Re: Cheapest N95 Contract in UK

The cheapest way to get most phones is to buy it SIM free, and then subscribe to a prepay contract, or something like O2's no ties deal. Any other contract will cost you more in the long term, and unless you use all the bundled airtime, texts etc, you are not getting value of money.

Also, there was a story a while back about several networks crippling the firmware on the N95 phones (and some others like the E65) that they provided on contract. They locked out features like VoIP in order to make you spend more money on their network, so if you do buy an N95 on contract, make sure you get one stock nokia firmware.

Re: Cheapest N95 Contract in UK

I bought my N95 for £50 on Three, on a 750min/150 text "£28 Talker" Tariff. Then I added on their X-Series Silver for £5. I then got £55 back, so the phone cost me nothing and I pay £33/month for 750 mins, 150 texts and "unlimited" (1GB FUP) surfing.

Totally happy with that, since it's such a good phone for surfing and multimedia that I think you'd be mad not to get it with a data tariff, and the only one that comes close is T-mobile's Web n Walk add-on (£7.50/month). So for a comparable monthly spend you can get the Flext £25 tariff + £7.50 Web n Walk, but you won't get the phone for less than £140-odd.

I get lots more mins and texts than the Flext tariff, same data allowance, and the phone was free. No contest. And I was an existing customer on T-mobile and they couldn't come anywhere near that offer.

If you're going for it then let me know and I'll get you a discount too!

    Nokia N95 sim free - £450 odd
    O2 online 35 - £35 pcm 12 months, 400 minutes, 1000 texts, = 12 * 35 = £420 (with the phone free)

Just food for thought, I'm a lurker over at moneysavingexpert.co.uk lol

Free on 12 months @ £35? That's very good too. But I'm still happy with my deal since I use a lot of data and for that it's either T-mobile or 3. Or possibly Vodafone but that's limited to 120MB a month.
