    e2save

    Hi all,

I'm looking into new phones for my mother (she wasn't interested in just taking my MDA Vario, apparently its too big for her, whatever ).

Can someone shed some light on e2save, and their cashback schemes? How do they actually work?

    Thanks,

    Tobes

    Re: e2save

I got my last phone was from e2save with 12 months free on a 12 month contract via the cashback scheme thing. I didn't have any problems and got all my line rental refunded :-)

They are owned and run by the carphone wherehouse

    Re: e2save

As mentioned above e2save is owned by Carphone Warehouse so they're not about to go bust any time soon! Avoid small unkown companies offering too good to be true deals.

I have 2 cashbacks with them currently and also completed a 12 month hassle free contract last year through e2save. Only have experience of 12 month contracts. Cashback is claimed on the 4th, 8th and 12th month. Make sure to send your bill within 28 days of receiving your 4, 8 and 12th bill. Equally important is to post the bill via registered post along with a small voucher provided by CPW. You receive a text confirming your bill has been received. Normally aout a week later they send another confirming all is ok and the cheque is on its way!

    Re: e2save

    I see.

So I guess they make their money with horrible T&Cs in their contract, should you not post it back to them in time, then voiding any cashback?

Does it work in a similar fashion to credit card tarting? I mean, once the free grace period is up, end your contract and find another good deal...

Ye i think if you forget to send any of your bills back then you will not receive any further cashback

    Re: e2save

They are excellent in processing such contracts etc and are the only ones that myself or another family member has used which actually text you to let you know the current situation/status after each claim.

    Re: e2save

e2save is usually pretty good, not so petty like the other ones. if you are late by like a week or two then they will usually still process it. and no you can still receive the next cash back even if you missed the last one. unless they have change their recent policy but from 2 months ago this is true.

it is onestopphoneshop.co.uk who would not let you claim the next cashback cheque if you miss one cashback claim. although they are owned by CPW too their customer service is not as good.

in my experience (5 contracts so far) e2save have been the best

if you need advice further on this just pm me

Always read the T&Cs as each company will have different requirements for making a claim.

The only downside for me is not being able to port your number or go from payg -> contract on the same number with the likes of e2save, mobileshop etc. So I'm changing my number more often especially if I change networks. Not a problem if you take out a contract direct from the networks....

    Yes

Always have been, they are one of the most reliable chequeback firms (so long as you keep to their t+c's)

CPW where very good and honoured all my cashback on the last contract I had.
CPW took over e2save quite a long time ago.

The money saving expert forums are a good place to search on how good companies are at honouring cash back for mobile contracts.
