    I think i've killed my SE K800i

well i had a message saying something about updating the software, i clicked update, it downloaded the updates and started installing the update, Then the screen went blank (lit up white) and that was it, the phone was locked up, couldnt do anything, not even turn it off. I left it for an hour or so and still nothing, so i took out the battery, put back in and turned it on and it did the same.
I've now tried taking out the sim and the memory stick and still nothing?
    Any ideas??

How did you get a message telling you to update the software... via text? The only way to update the phone is hooking it up to a PC and using the update service.

I would try reflashing it with the update software, see if you can recover it that way. Other than that contact SE and explain you were using their update software when this happened and they should be able to help.

no it wasnt a text, it was a message like the reminder that comes up telling you to search for updates, cant quite remember but if you go into setting there is a bit to search for updates.

Plug it into a computer and go to the SE Software Update site (Linkage) and run through the instructions there.

It looks like nothing is happening, but it is.
