Ferral, any idea when the w960i will be out? Will it be on Vodafone?

Cool, ta
I'm out of contract already so I might as well hang on, might get a better deal then...
Considering that you can get far more functional and all round better phones (- a 5MP camera) for far less than £360 I personally would never pay for this on PAYG as you seem to be indicating yourself. Not when you can have something like this or this for quite a bit cheaper.
The 5MP aspect of this phone and the other gubbins that go with the camera seems to me like an excuse for SE to over inflate the price of this phone by a very considerable margin and for the operators to push people onto a contract. I can't imagine how anyone who knows their market would even consider this on PAYG.
It's a lovely phone but its not anywhere near worth the asking price on PAYG.

O2 phones seem pretty firmware crud-free, and the phones all seem to come unlocked (I'm on my 4th and none of them have been locked so far..).
But then again O2 has no 3G to speak of, and crummy data rate charges..

Just ordered the w910 because I couldn't wait until Dec for the 960, anyone know if that takes SD cards as well? I'm not keen on being restricted to 1Gb on the M2 cards...
Scratch that, just seen that you can get 2gb M2 cards. But still, if SD is cheaper...

SD cards will be cheaper, but i don't think microSD cards will be cheaper.
I think there is only one SE phone that takes anything other than Duos or M2s, but i can't remember the model number, it isn't the W910 though.
I have ended up getting the w910 as orange seem to have no plans to stock the k850 which sucks.
They have given me a really good deal and big bonus is its only a 12 month contract
K850i is out on 19th Oct according to Play.com pre-order, but we all know how accurate shops' dates can be ^-^.
Nothing wrong with it yet although once yesterday it got stuck on the animation it does just before it shuts the display off for standby, but waking it up again solved that. Possibly a Vodafone bug as it's a branded animation.
The branding on the outside is limited to some small Vodafone writing on the back which I don't mind. The software has been tainted with Live links/logos in a lot of places, and the barstewards removed the motion sensor powered marbles game, which I was looking forward to playing. Instead there's just a bunch of demo games which are all crap.
The camera I haven't played with too much yet but picture quality of the few I did take was impressive, considering the conditions. Annoyingly they've removed the keyboard shortcut for macro mode but it's still there in the menu.
The touch sensitive buttons work very well, in fact I wish they were all touch sensitive - you can flick around the menus quickly using them but it feels odd when you have to click with a regular button or D-pad.
The media system is good particularly with the auto-rotate. Playing music through headphones sounds better than the K800 which is nice. I've been finding that fingerprints are a nightmare - the whole front and back sides are shiney so pick them up very easily.
Overall I'm happy with it, but I don't think it's a very big step forward from the K800. The screen is lovely though, nice and bright with good colours and you do notice the small increase in size.
As soon as the SE firmware is available I will be de-branding and experiencing the phone as SE intended
I'll take some pictures for you this evening - have a look on Esato as there are loads on there already.
