    Question K800i Screen Protectors

Has anyone ever bought a "budget" screen protector? I was gonna get a martin fields (read good things about 'em) but i noticed play.com are selling cheap no-brand ones for £2.99 delivered.
Would the Martin Fields be worth the extra cost? (£10 +£2.50 delivery @mobilefun)

    Thanks

    Re: K800i Screen Protectors

try ebay you might get it for cheaper, i have used martin fields before. they were good, but very thick (at least the ones i had for p900i, 6600 and 7610. lately i just put my phone and my keys separately or use a pouch havent scratched a phone for a while now

i have bad experience with play.com so i shouldnt really comment about it and also you dont want the cheap chinese imitations cuz they use bad quality plastics that will become cloudy as you use it, again from experience

good luck finding a good one

Thumbs up MartinFields mini-review (56k- 700k of images)

I just got my MF, have been using the standard thing that comes with the phone, it's really surprising how bad it makes the screen look. It's so much better now.

Can't really notice it's on there, it does seem to pick up fingerprints well but they are easy to smudge/wipe off.

I kinda mis-aligned it, but i don't really wanna take it off and risk fingerprints on the underside! Just hope it doesn't lift.
    plenty of pics!

    My old "protector"

You can see how bad it is!

    This is without any protector:

Martin Fields Protectors are just plain awesome. I use them for my ds lite, ipod, pda, etc. If put on correctly, your won't notice it is even on.

    Re: K800i Screen Protectors

Just worth a mention, I got a twinpack from ledshoppe for $1.99 shipped (£1 thru paypal).

Within about a week or two, taking my phone out of my pocket caused one side to come off. I just stuck it back on leaving two small bubbles.

Might have just been the way I stuck it on perhaps. I'll use the other one when something major happens.

Probably not the ELITE in SCREEN PROTECTORS. Can't go wrong for a quid though.

not quite a screen protector so much as a complete phone protector, but the crystal cases on ebay seem to do the job quite well.

    Re: K800i Screen Protectors

I was horrified by the price of the MF but it has been on my phone for over 12 months now and it's still unmarked, so in VFM terms it gets top marks from me. Whoever makes this has obviously been talking to the people who make the plastic film that most of the food that we eat is wrapped in these days - that's pretty near impregnable too!
