I frickin love my phone (and t-mobile)

Sitting listening to 6Music on my Vario III (nee TyTN II, nee Kaiser)

I'm using my bluetooth head set and my phone in charging via USB. 6Music is coming from the BBC website through Mobile Media Player.

No other phone in the building can get a signal, yet alone one with a data connection.

We are in a bit of a radio black spot. FM and TV reception is poor and you can only get a mobile signal on the other three networks by standing in th emiddle of the car park.

I just need to try that new Dutty ROM that was linked to yesterday. All the HTC and finger friendly stuff should make the phone even better.

    I'm now a total WM6 convert

Re: I frickin love my phone (and t-mobile)

The dutty rom is very cool. (I'm sure I posted about it in another thread, perhaps the one Parm started)

I think he is wrking on another release in the not too distant future. Apparently he is trying to get FM radio working. Apparently the radio (BT, wifi, GPS etc.) chip might have FM as an undocumented feature. We shall see.

Not used the TouchFlow cube yet. Actually can't work out how to launch it heehee

Also using PocketCM as a finger friendly contacts manager and threaded text app. It's amazing.

Oh, and finally got proper Live Messenger, which was getting a hammering when i was stuck in Bergen at the weekend.

Will be interesting to see my bill this month. Does roaming calls texts and data come out of your FlexT allowance? £7.50/meg would be a lot easier to swallow if it came out of the £55 of ballance i still had

ha ha - no...but next time you are overseas, send all your SMSs as MMSs instead. charged at 20p vs 60p. not a lot of people know that...

Re: I frickin love my phone (and t-mobile)

    yeah, weird that.

It's just a shame MMSs are a pain in the ass to compose compaired to SMSs.

Apparently MSNs protocal is pretty nice and light, so hopefully I won't have used too many MB.

Ah, sod it, the conversations I had over MSN were worth waay more than that anyway

Re: I frickin love my phone (and t-mobile)

I love my contract on T-mobile, I have Flext 35 and web'n'walk max with half price for life discount.

I got an employment offer at Asda for their advantage plan with I took out on Relax 50 for 12 months. When I upgraded I wanted web'n'walk max for half price and they said this was fine with the w'n'w max tariff, and they also gave me a free K850i! But after I got the phone and tariff change my advantage plan had been removed. I spent an hour or two calling customer services and eery time they said I had to cancel my upgrade and return the phone to get my old discounted tariff back, but I wanted w'n'w max at half price which is what was promised not my old plan!

So I asked to get in contact with the person who had done my upgrade. A few hours later she calls me and says 'I did say you could keep your discount and have a free K850i, the upgrades department was never responsible for your discount being removed as we dont deal with the advantage plan'. She called the neccessary people for the advantage plan for me, and they still refused to put it back on, so she gave me a 50% discount directly through retentions with a note on the account saying it couldnt be removed by T-mobile untill I choose cancell the contract.

    Happy me XD.

Its £28.75 a month for 900 minutes or 1800 texts, and 10 gig of modem use including VOIP for my MMORPG's and Ventrillo

Now I need to call them to get wifi use enabled under their new offer that w'n'w plus and max get free wifi use too. although my current phone doesnt support Wifi, I may as well get it put on while I can for future phones.

I have a HSDPA enabled K850i and get an average of 2.2 Mbps with a max so far of around 3.2 Mbps (Its up to 3.6 Mbps max).

Also, whenever I send a general enquiry by Email to T-mobile support, I ALWAYS without fail get a phonecall of them the next day before 3pm. If I dont answer it, then they leave a voicemail and reply by E-mail. I dont think any other network provider does that!

Last week I had a problem with getting Lotro (lord of the rings online) to work, and it kept disconnecting. I sent an email to T-mobile regarding this and got a phone call the next day and was put through to a very knowledgable person who plays MMO's himself. He said that T-mobile werent doing anything to stop the game from working nor were they blocking any data from being sent or recieved so there wasnt much that they could about it. So unfortunately I have to connect to my house broadband to play Lotro, and its half the speed via my router then my T-mobile is
