    Re: Viewty V N95

The main point with o2 was if you are on a £35+ contract you can pick between:
    unlimited texts
    unlimited data via 3G
    200 X-net mins
    unlimited landline
    unlimited o2-o2 calls

So naturally i picked data and found out the cap is something ridiculous like 9gb so im happy

    Re: Viewty V N95

So N95 is the popular one then?

Hmm... I've just been offered 1 thats new, 2 batteries, desktop charger for phone and spare battery, 1 Gb card and leather case for £100.

Looks like a bargain to me and I may just say go on give it here then

Sounds pretty good to me - I'd certainly go for it in your position!

Id def get it for that price, id kill to have a second battery and desktop charger, the fact that you said it was also come with an 1gb card, means its not the 8gb black version?

    Re: Viewty V N95

Nah it's not the new version but I suppose it will do me.

Plus the additon of the 5 MP camera means I'll not need to take my 10 MP camera out unless it's really needed

    Re: Viewty V N95

Well in the end I talk him down to a measly 69 pounds for the N95 + battery + 2 chargers + desk charger etc

Just trying to bluetooth all my contacts from the K800i to it but I did the whole transfer setting and it did 1 message only. So, I'm currently going down the phone book transferring them all across to the N95.

The Menus are totally confusing to me but I'll learn it all by the end of the day

He's been robbed, very nice price there

Im very jealous of the 2 chargers, but mainly the extra battery, and desk charger! (wats it like btw, im hunting round for one atm).

yeah it took a while for me to get used to all the menus coming from a Sony Ericson K800i, but after a couple of days its fine.

    Re: Viewty V N95

I like it atm - just had a quick fiddle with the menu's, settings and transferring of contacts from the K800 via bluetooth.

Camera is good for a 5 MP phone.

I just need to get the 2 Gb of mp3's from the K800 now and stick them on the N95 and the memory card.

The only thing I can say about it in a negative way is the way it attracts your fingerprints on the screen and shiny parts of the buttons, but so far so good from the quick hours play

Yeah mines a nightmare tbh, how ever much time I spend cleaning the screen there are fingerprint marks all over it!

    Re: Viewty V N95

I needed a new phone and basically went out looking for one that caught my fancy. No special requirements needed was just open to suggestions. I have been a long time nokia disliker for one reason or another so pretty much avoided them.

Decided on a viewty, with very little research or anything like I wouldnormally do and am really really happy with the results. It does evertything i want it to and does it well.

Sure its missing WiFi - but i wouldnt use that anyway (i have to lump around an Ipaq which has that on) and sure its not windows mobile or symbian or whatever, but its a really nice device with an awesome screen, that is helping me get through the first season of Lost on the way to work.

battery life pretty good, internet access good. All in all I'm well happy.

I managed to get the N95 8gb model on Vodafone for free.

    18 month contract, 200 mins 200 txt for £20 a month.

Am very impressed with it so far but haven't really got down to the nitty gritty of it yet.

May I ask how?! That's a great deal. I'm on a £25 contract with Vodafone (originally on a 18 month contract although I've been with them for about 2½ years now) with a Samsung D600. The new N95 is very tempting, but having logged into Vodafone's website to see their upgrade offers, it's just insulting what they're offering, and the listed price of the N95 8GB is shocking - £400 for an 18 month £20/£25 contract.
