Question Mobile Phone with Strong signal reception, Please help!!

    Hello,

I live in south west where the phone reception (orange, tmobile, 3 and vodafone!) have all very bad signal reception. I am more worried for my wife as she has to drive back from work with little or no phone reception on her phone.

I have seen these signal boosters that you can fit on your phone and I have also heard they are a waste of material and money.

I was wondering whether there are any other types of signal boosters that can be fitted on to a car or any other types at all???

Also, if you know of any types of phones which will have a strong signal reception please please please let me know. I will be very grateful!!!

    Please help

I have put this thread on a couple of other hexus forums so it can get circulated quickly, I'd like to sort this out pretty soon.

    Thanks

Don't. it's against the rules to cross post.

On to your question. The little stickers that you put on your phone are pointess and don't work.

If you are going to be in a car, then a proper car kit with external antena would be a good idea. you gt them for all the major phone manufacturers, but not always for the "style" ohones that as oh so popular these days (iPhone as an example). A decent SonyEricsson or Nokia should do you fine.

You say orange, tmobile, 3 and vodafone don'tgive a good signal. What about O2?

    sorry,

did not know it was against the rules. Just out of curiosity... why?

Also, any links to these products would be great. These sort of car aerials sounds like what I need!

    Cheers

Re: Mobile Phone with Strong signal reception, Please help!!

Lots of users come on to the forums and check for new posts (me for one). It's REALLY aggravating when the first half dozen items are one cross-posted question. As are the next half-dozen. And the next. Also, it's easier for you to keep track of answers, and us to know where to post them if you keep the question to one thread in the right forum.

Most car manufacturers provide kits that will work with business-y type phones; as an example, have a look at Volkswagen: Volkswagen UK > Accessories > Part Not found

shouldn't be too hard to find if you do a little searching.

Might also be an iea to go into speak to someone in a mobile phone store. CarphoneWarehouse hould be able to help, same with ny of the good indipendant stores. As nichomach said, comprehesive car kits like this are normally aimed at businesses, so they won't be cheap. they also usually require profesional instalation.
