Re: Nokia 6300 "Not enough memory"

In what circumstances does the error come up?

I sometimes get a similar error on my SE W950i when I've got too many apps running at once and it's run out of sytem memory, nothing to do with the amount of messages/pics etc on the phone at all.

And yes, it could well be worth taking it to your local Nokia centre.

Re: Nokia 6300 "Not enough memory"

First off delete all the unwanted text messages, then transfer all photos and music from phone onto mem card.

Pull out the battery and remove sim. Put battery back in (without sim) and boot the phone, it will ask if you want to start in offline mode. Select yes and leave phone on for about 30 secs. Pull battery out (don't turn phone off using button, literally just pull battery) put sim and battery back in and boot.

Effectively you are doing a soft reset on the phone doing that and in most cases it resolves issues of that nature.
