O2 unlimited browsing bolt on. servers question ?

ok new to having 'email/internet' on my phone and am alittle confused by O2.......

I recently got a new N95 8gb from O2 with a bolt on of unlimited* browsing through your phone for £7.50 per month

now when I connect to the internet or email etc it list a long choice of connection types:

    O2 Active
    O2 MobileWeb
    O2 Postpay MMS
    O2 Postpay Wap
    O2 Postpay Wap
    Connection

now i can browse using the PostpayWap but if I want to use Messenger it will only work on O2 Active.

my question is that if i use the O2 Active insted of the O2 postpay will i be paying etc for the data on that 'server' or will it all come out of my 'unlimited' bolt on. as i dont want to be hit with a hefty bill for using a server that I am not meant to be using,

    any help appreciated

    thanks

Re: O2 unlimited browsing bolt on. servers question ?

I have two connections set up...

    O2 Mobile web
    O2 Streaming

I deleted all the others when i un-branded my phone (which you should do btw, makes it faster and more stable)

O2 mobile web is just like a normal internet connection... can access everything and it just gets billed as part of your contract (im also on the 7.50 a month)
not sure what the streaming connection does, will prob delete that too

Re: O2 unlimited browsing bolt on. servers question ?

So let me get this correct, the postpay stuff is the 7.50 what we pay for? (unlimted data) but blocks access to msn and no doubt streaming stuff,

where as o2 active is chargable and will let you access msn.

Neo VR - you just have the o2 mobile web and streaming left in your connections list, so when your browsing which connection do you use (as part of your 7.50 unlimted data bundle) so you don't get charged? and does that let you use msn?

    Thanks

Sorry for being slow in understanding

Re: O2 unlimited browsing bolt on. servers question ?

O2 is rubbish in regards to how their Internet and network is. I've had nothing but issues galore with sending and recieving MMS messages on multiple handsets.

I got my N95 - worked fine for a few days and even got a MMS from a member on here fine and dandy showing some food

Fast forwards 4 weeks - no settings have been removed etc and I'm getting texts off people asking if I liked their MMS they've sent even though I have not recieved them.

Speaking to the O2 drones on the phone regarding this is a royal pain in the arse. Hell I'm a geek, I know most the settings off by heart but I get treated like a proverbial 3 year old and get asked to check everything millions of times before they will even look into it.

Yes, the O2 mobile web is the connection i use, and yes it does allow everything.

The lastest "issue" with O2 and their 3g and HSDPA service... they throttle the connection to 128kb

The £7.50 unlimited data on O2 is actually limited to just 200mb.

    Neo VR:

.. and you don't get charged for using o2 mobile web instead of the postpay wap?

I wish o2 had mentioned that services were limited ! Luckily its only a month to month contract so i can cancel whenever, does anyone know if the same goes with the iPhone?

    Thanks guys!
