Damn lucky there Raven. Yes i have experienced mid call shut downs. I got a new battery for it yesterday cause i figured that might be it. After 1 hour charging it gives me a "serious charging error, contact SE service center"

    hooray.

Wow, guess I am lucky! Mine's been really stable, are you running the latest firmware? I updated as soon as it came out! The battery has been really good, 5-6 days of pretty heavy useage on a normal charge, much better than my old Nokia!

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

Re: Sony Ericsson K850i battery problem

Yeah, mine switches itself off, sometimes when I haven't even been touching it - I'll pick it up to do something and it will be off. Its not really the sort of thing you can do by accident, you have to press the button on the top for a fair while to switch it off.

Sometimes the keypad lights up but the screen stays black.

I've also noticed (someone else said the same thing I think) that sometimes the battery seems fine and then other days it plummets without me having used it any more / less.

I can't connect to the internet either - it gets halfway through loading the page and then locks so I have to take the battery out. T-mobile insist that I have loaded the page up and still charged me for looking at a blank webpage

I'm still considering putting it on ebay but not sure what phone to go for. Alternatively I could try digging out my old w810.

Regardless, once this contract is up, I'm going back to O2 and I'm not going to go for a brand-new-to-the-market phone again.
