Orange Dolphin 35 Contract - Data charge?

    Hi All,

I have recently ordered a Nokia N95 on a Orange dolphin 35 contract with half price line rental for 14months (£17.50) which I still think is a good deal. The only thing is I may of possible overlooked the data charges for either 3g or gprs. I like to browse for footy news scores and grab email etc and don't want to be charged though the nose for it. I know other networks i.e O2 do data bolt on's, do Orange do a similer package?? I hope so as i'm now tied in for 18 months lol

    Thanks for your time,

    Matt.

Angry Re: Orange Data charge!!! Read this before joining Orange

I’ve been with Orange now for 15mths and I’ve just started up a business. Looking over the different companies Orange seemed to be the best at that moment in time. They offered free insurance and business support so I though why not and signed up. The contract did state 600mins and unlimited texts with 250mb of data each mth. In 2.5mths I got a monthly bill in and realised that they had charged me for £551.04 for the MTH!!!. I called and after alot of talking they realised they had made a mistake and reimbursed me. Now the same thing has happened only this time it is allot higher £665.00 and they are now making me pay it (again data charges). Looking back I now wish I had of taken the 02 contract it may be a little more expense each mth but at least you know were you stand....

The Dolphin 35 18-month (and Dolphin 30 24-month) contracts come with 500 meg of data per month.

If you exceed this, you'll be charged £1.50 per day

Re: Orange Dolphin 35 Contract - Data charge?

Not sure if this is it exactly..

    Orange World Access
Mbs per month / Cost per month
    None / £ 0.00
    OW Daily Capped Usage / £ 0.00
    Unlimited Evening & Weekend Browsing / £ 5.00
    30 / £ 8.00
    80 / £ 41.13

That's the additional bundles available I see online under my account,
don't know if it helps or not!

I think it's only the 24 month Dolphin 30/35 contracts that come with 500mb data packages though.

    - If your contract states 250mb included per month & you're under that then they have to refund you & sort it.
    - If your contract states 250mb included per month & you're over that then to be fair it's your fault & you should add a data bundle.
    - If your contract DOESN'T say it then why the hell didn't you add a data bundle?
