Re: The next best phone - HTC Diamond Touch

gotta say this is one of the best phones i have ever bought. i bought it from a guy who didn't relly want a new phone so paid him £130 to get one for me. Its one of the orange ones with just the logo branding at the back. and now its also unlocked thanks to a free unlocker - without using that atcmd.exe one. just miss the keyboard really. battery life 2 days with quite alot of usage!

Re: The next best phone - HTC Diamond Touch

What are your experiences with the battery lifetime? I use my Windows Mobile phone (Eten X800) quite a lot for outdoor navigation, but even though my that phone has neary double the battery capacity (1500mAh as opposed to 900mAh on the HTC), the battery is pretty much empty after about 6 hours of GPS activity.

    Cheers,

    Deaffy

    I agree it looks nasty.
The T-Mobile version has a smooth back though. It looks much nicer.

I've just got my TyTnII on a 3 contract. 3 don't do the Diamond but for me the 4Gb memory would be a deal breaker anyway.

The TyTN II is soon to be replaced with a slider version of the Diamond. It has removable memory just like the TyTN II.

Yes. The Touch Pro. That looks really nice. It'll be ages before 3 get it though so there was no point in me waiting for it. They've only just got the TyTnII.
    Maybe next time.

I didn't realise it took so long to get it on 3.

I would really like the Touch Pro, but i've still got about 9 months on my current contract (an 18 monther), so I think I'll wait and skip this generation of handset

Hey deaffy i am going to be recieving my touch diamond tomorrow, and obviously i have heard about the new extended battery bp e270 i think something like that its called. Is that the one that you have and also is that the one that protrudes out of the back of the phone or does the cover remain the same. any pics u could post and details of where u bought the larger battery capacity would be appreciated very much. lookingg forward to mine coming tomorrow.

The larger batteries tend to come with a new back cover as they're slightly thicker.

Re: The next best phone - HTC Diamond Touch

Great phone at the moment but im having real problems with entering contacts and the general contacts menu, quite inconvenient when trying to call someone. just copied all from my sim but it totally messes up the way the contact details are written. is there no way of hitting one button that takes u to a direct list of your contact numbers saved on the phone? anyone that can shed some light on this issue would help a lot other than that gps and internet rocks!

Re: The next best phone - HTC Diamond Touch

The missus just got one of these on her orange contract, the screen clarity and resolution is excellent but I didnt find it particularly responsive to stylus touch, atleast not in comparison with the tytnii or my axims screen. Decent phone otherwise though
