Recommendations? GPS + Small Form
Hey everyone,
I'm presently using a XDA Exec and as anyone who's used this phone can tell you, it's a bit of a brick. I'm therefore looking for a new, smaller phone (ideally with O2).
The phone needs to have the following:
- Inbuilt GPS (not necessarily with the software, just hardware capable).
- 3G capabilities.
I'm currently using Windows Mobile 6 and although it's not bad, I wouldn't object to using Symbian or other operating systems. However, it must be able to run software like TomTom.
I'm not particularly fussed when it comes to the camera. Furthermore, I'm not looking for video/music playbac or fancy features like that. However, it would be a plus if a proper number pad was included, so long as it didn't make the phone too bulky.
In summary, as long as it resembles a phone more than it does my XDA Exec, I'll be happy.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
Re: Recommendations? GPS + Small Form
At the moment, the Nokia 6210 Navigator and the 6110 Classic both look good. Does anyone have any experience of these, or other recommendations?
Re: Recommendations? GPS + Small Form
i've never tried 6210 or 6110 but in my experience (n73, n95) tomtom or garmin has been quite problematic. i still prefer HTC/windows mobile for GPS purposes. i am still using my o2 xda orbit for gps and its great and pretty decent size.
why not look into HTC touch diamond?
Re: Recommendations? GPS + Small Form
Have a look into he HTC Touch Diamond or if you prefer a keyboard the HTC Touch Pro. If O2 doesn't have them you will be able to buy them sim free from Phones4U
Re: Recommendations? GPS + Small Form
I have the 6210 classic. Its ok but tomtom does not work without a bluetooth gps. Stuff like garmin work but they are buggy. Software for symbian is very lacking in generall. Stick to windows mobile if you can if i was you.
