Pretty sad they are doing this...because it will cut into the iPhone sales!
Anyone else dissapointed with this?

this will most likely be my upgrade when that time comes in January. looks to be a decent upgrade to the n95. i like the fact that it has the 16gb or memory and a micro sd slot.20gB storage for me
Does it look like they any plans to stock? Or do you think it's part of the exlusivity deal with Apple?
Went into 3 today as they were advertising it. They said it was out on the 1st of october. The really strange thing is that they didn't have a dummy phone, only a picture of it on their pc's. They said it would be delivered directly on the 1st if I got it. You'd have thought for such a high end phone, they would have demo models in store a week before release.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
O2 are the only ones not getting it from what I have read in the trade magazines. Like mentioned, its because they apparently overspent on the iphone. They are also wanting to maximise iphone sales over the christmas period with iphone payt sales.
We are getting it October 3rd according to our forthcoming devices list.
I had a phone call from O2 about my contract renewal last Thursday. The over confident Iphone bot on the other end of the phone told me I could have any phone I wanted and any colour aslong as it's made by apple and white. "Not only that sir" I doesn't come with any discount for long standing customers. Everyone pays the same. Fan-daby-dozy! Order me 12!
I am pretty annoyed about this, if only because it would reduce the price of the Iplop.
Booo I say! BOOOOOO and HISSSSSS!
Still I am on a 30 day contract so might make the switch to Voda.
Will be interesting to see how much of a success it is on other networks, how Nokia responds and how quickly, and, how good the deals might end up being on getting one of these beauties?
The N96 is for sale on 02 at the carphone warehouse. We got them in yesterday and I think they are on sale from today. Free on £45 p/m, and also free on £35p/m if you trade in your old N95/N95 8gb. Thats all i know at the moment. If you live in Glasgow and visit the Fort store ask for Kyle.

If you get a customer, or an employee, who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your gun and smash their nose in.
o2 has all the phones and tmobile has??? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
seen it on offer in tmobile yesterday. £40pm for unlimited internet and texts and 800 mins(not 100% on the mins).
If I was getting a new phone, it would be between this and the sony xperia which is coming soon,

I had the option of either:
a). N96 with 500mins & texts for £25per month
or
b). N96 with 900mins & texts for £35 per month
or
c). E71 with 500 mins & texts for £21 per month
All with 3 Mobile (who i know have a bad name but i have always had good service and good deals since i have been with them - since the original 3G was launched in fact).
Needless to say that i went for the E71. Overall feels far superior quality and the only thing it doesnt do is the Freeview TV (which seems pointless anyway).
The N95 (which i have just sold) also felt like a better phone than the N96 aswell.
Really? My only realissue with my N95 is its build quality. Too many loose, plasticky parts for my liking, and the N96 seems to feel a little bit more solid.
However, the N96 still isn't tempting me enough and my contract is nearly up for renewal. I'm hoping for another phone along the lines of the LG KC910 Renoir and the Samsung M8800 Bresson to appear from Nokia but i'm not holding my breath...
Just recieved my N96 on 02 from mobiles.co.uk. Very pleased, went through cash back site t get £40 in cash and used a code for a free bluetooth headset worth £20. Overall im happy with the phone, screen is great but battery life isnt.
