    Google Andriod

My contract comes up for renewal in a few months, and desbite liking the sound of the new software, im not too keen on the general look of the G1. Does anyone know of any other phones on the horizon which will be using the Andriod software?

    cheers guys!

    Re: Google Andriod

There are a couple of cheap chinese devices using Android, but nothing spectacular.

Having said that, there has been some sucess with putting Android on loads of different HTC hardware. Diamond, Diamond Pro, TyTN II, touch etc.

Potentially add the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 as that is made by HTC

I think it's great, a fairly cheap but finctional phone, it's giving me good bargaining power to try and get the X1 on a reduced tariff and low/free handset price with o2

Not a huge fan of the nipple for moving about though.

    Re: Google Andriod

I was tempted by the G1 but read several reviews of the battery only lasting a day with moderate usage. HTC/Google/T-mobile will really need to sort that out for the G2. However I was really impressed by the usable online flash demo of the interface.

    Re: Google Andriod

I'm in the same boat, my boyfriend has the G1 and I love the software but am not so keen on the phone. I was going to get myself a Renoir, but now want a phone with Android on it...
