Best PAYG deal at the moment?

I'm looking for a good PAYG deal. I don't really make many calls (maybe 20 mins per month) and maybe 5-10 texts maximum. I want to avoid deals that require regular topups.

So, any good PAYG deals out there at the moment?

Asda Mobile (Vodafone virtual) if you don't need or have a unlocked handset.

UK standard calls 8p (minimum call charge is 8p), SMS 4p, 3G/GPRS data 20p per MB.

SIM card is 49p or free with a £5 topup instore IIRC.

For cheap GPRS/3G, T-Mobile is a quid per day, or 5 days for £2.5. Calls are quite expensive though.

May have a solution for that.... how old are you?(between 16-24 i think it is). If your within that you can join blyk where you used to get 250text and 47 mins which just changed to £15 credit a month but they charge only 9p for texts so you can get loads . They work on advertisements and just make sure on your interests you tick what you want to receive, i get hardly any as i put technology(only get the holiday specific ones now). I can invite you if youd want to take up the offer.

Re: Best PAYG deal at the moment?

As listed above, Blyk is good if you're between 16-24. They send you advertisements via SMS so it won't cost you anything.

However if you're not between that age then you'll have to get a pay as you go simcard. (Blyk is pretty much free so I don't count it as a pay as you go simcard xD)

Lots of pay as you go networks now offer very nice topup rewards but seeing as you only make around 20 mins of calls a month and 5-10 texts max then you would be better off choosing a tariff with the cheapest price per min. Seems to me that Asda is the cheapest with 8p per min to any network and 4p per text.
