    Cancelling a Vodafone contract early

    Hi guys,

I'd appreciate some help with this. I'd like to cancel my Vodafone contract (which is due to legally finish on the 9th May) in order to port my number and buy an iPhone. There's only 7 weeks left of my contract, but I want the new phone now!

Basically, they told me to cancel early I'd have to pay £62, based on my current contract. Can I downgrade to a £20 tariff then cancel after that and have it cheaper?

Also, I've just paid the line rental for this month (it's billed in advance), so why would they want £60 odd when I've paid this month, leaving only 5 weeks unpaid?

The main point here is that I want to have the PAC code to keep my number...

    Thanks everyone

Well I'm not upgrading, so i think you're just allowed to change it if you want.
