    Re: iPhone 3

My current orange Sony Erricson phone is really hammered, and i'm eager for an iPhone too.
My 18 month (!) contract just ended, so i could get an iphone now, but i guess the smart thing would be to wait until June.

The compass and camera business seem of little interest to me, a doubling of storage to 32GB could be really useful though (i have around 20 Gig of music that i'd love to carry with me plus have extra space).
I'm commenting on an internet forum. Your facts hold no sway over me.

I really hope the Apple logo does not glow in the dark...

1.5x Battery life and OLED screen is dubious ... ?

    Re: iPhone 3

lol @ the rumoured glowing apple sign on the phone.

You might as well wear a white t-shirt with "MUG ME" in big red letters on.

Oh look...You cannot change the blooming battery as well. I'm not getting a phone where I cannot change or replace the battery on.

Until Apple release this where the battery can be changed I'll be steering clear.

I know Apple stuff is expensive, but OLED screen? 7" is like £2K!!!!

I know its a rumour, but I don't really think it will be a shout about release.

Sony has managed one in a walkman recently. It's not completely unreasonable, but, I would agree unlikely

I'm not. I had the original iPhone 2G and I'm now happily using a 3G one Quite simply the best phones ever.

That said, the battery life is my one complaint so I would be quite happy for that to be fixed.

    Re: iPhone 3

There is also an "iPhone 2,1" defined in a new developer build of the OS.

    http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/25/i...d-model-again/

Thats not 2.1 though, the original is identified as iPhone1, and the 3G is identified as iPhone1,2

There won't be a onfirmed specification until Apple announce it at a keynote speach. That is the way they handle things.

    Anything before that is conjecture.
