    Looking at the FAQ, there appears to be a point where you have to pay a subscription for it. Maps are also pushed over the air, so if you are abroad your data charges are going to be hefty. Maps look a bit crappy too judging by the screenshots on the main page.

    Vodafone have abolished roaming charges AFAIK - at least from the messages I've gotten on the phone via SMS from them!

    Only in Europe for voice and text and only for 3 months this summer.

    Data is still expensive IIRC.
