    Recycling mobiles for money

    Hi,

I'm am considering selling my old phone (n95) to a "mobile recycling" website. Some are offering ~£100 for my phone, which seems great, but has anyone had any experience with these types companies? It almost seems too good to be true.

Any info would be much appreciated!

I'll be trying cashinmyfone.com later this week. £4.50 quidco cashback per successful transaction plus the money you get for the phone

    Re: Recycling mobiles for money

Used Love2Recycle because they had an extra £5 per phone voucher running at the time. They told me however that one of the phones I'd sent in, a 3310, was broken and therefore I wouldn't get any money, but still gave me the £5 bonus

Best thing to do is to check the prices on the phones, find the best one, and then look for the cashback deals on topcashback and see if there are any vouchers available to up the price.

Generally you can get more for them on eBay or the like, but for simplicity you can't beat the online firms.

    Re: Recycling mobiles for money

I just used the Carphone Warehouse trade-in to sell my N95 8gb and just got the cheque for £140 this morning, dead easy really quick and efficient. I'll be using it again to shift some more I've got lying around like a nokia 6500 they've quoted £50 for.

    Re: Recycling mobiles for money

My Nokia 6300 was received and tested by cashinmyfone (I'm relatively sure that they're just another arm of envirophone), and a cheque for £40 something pence is now on it's way to me.

    Re: Recycling mobiles for money

Thanks for all the replies, based on feedback I've decided to go with cashinmyfone/envirophone. I will post my experience in a week or so.

Hopefully the wear to the keypad and couple of scratches to the outer case won't reduce the value too much.
