I am amazed that no one seems to be talking about this phone as it looks superb and the list of improvements over its closest rival, the iPhone is massive....

Would like to have a proper look at it when it finally hits stores though.

Those stats & specs look very impressive! Id be interested in seeing what its performance is like. I cant stand the styling of it though (i like the slide out keyboard of my Kaiser) and as much of a pain as Windows Mobile can be, i do like the massive amount of programs & ROMs out for it.


As a possible Iphone beater though, it gets my vote!

as a long term Treo / Pilot / Visor user, one of the best points is that they have announced in April that they would now provide backwards compatibility with apps from previous models.

I'd like to know how seamless it was, but if usable that provides access to a very decent catalogue immediately, as well as plenty of potential...

I think the inductive charging if it works well will be a major draw for me to upgrade to if it is used in future phones.

I've also been keeping an eye on this phone for a while now, it’s really impressive, but a lot of people are slating the build quality.

I like my devices with a keyboard and a touchscreen, and the Pre does that with a really small device, I'm in love.

I really considered getting this phone when it came out but I went with an iPhone instead. My only reasoning was that it seemed pretty slow in all of the videos that I saw. Also, the razorsharp edges! I don't like that the SDK uses HTML rather than native code, this is what Apple tried with the iPhone and it failed miserably.

I think the SDK uses HTML specifically to make app development and "cloud" intergration easier.

O2 have announced the Pre will be exclusive with them, available some time just before Xmas.
