I'm considering getting a SIM card to slot in an old mobile phone that I'd use very rarely. Most of the time it would be for incoming calls.
In essence, I'd like a PAYG SIM where the minutes never expire (or at least I only need to make maybe one call in x month(s) for it to stay active). I've had a look on the various telcos and find its incredibly fustrating that they don't mention whether minutes expire or not.
I believe Orange do a SIM only deal where it's valid for 6 months, but due to an unbelievably bad experience with Orange, I'd like to avoid them.
I don't mind paying £10 or so to get a SIM if it's not "free". A £10 SIM with no expiry on the minutes is a lot "free-er" than a Free SIM where unused credit is lost at the end of each month
I don't particularly need a phone, but if they throw one in, or for say £20, then that's fine.
So in summary:
- PAYG with no minimal monthly spend
- Few calls made or received
- No need for high number of SMS
- No need for WAP / GPRS
- No roaming requirements / will be used in UK 99% of the time
- Must have rollover minutes due to low usage
- Bundled phone not necessary (I can find old one to reuse)
Any ideas?
Thanks!
