My interweb decided to die at 93%!
Aww, I'm not fussed about trying different roms tbh.
So, let's try this again..

Running all fine and dandy, clean and responsive, very swish :)
Didn't need to backup anything, everything was saved except for contacts which were a quick sync and homescreen layout which didn't take too long to get how I wanted.
Anything I should be taking advantage of that wasn't available on the older firmware?
There no option for sattelite view in Googlemaps anymore? :(
Edit: Ooopsie, I found it, well.. Greymata helped me find it ^^
as direct said google navigation is great :D
Google goggles is good for a laugh although atm the products are just us.
I think layar didnt work on 1.5 so you can play with that.
Friendstream is cool :D
I've went off Sense now, running a Vanilla 2.1 ROM with LauncherPro and a few other bits n bobs. Sense is too bloated for my liking, so this is the first 2.1 ROM I'm truly happy with. I've tried Chronos Droid, VillainRom, SuperHero, etc but I'm on EzHero now (based off Cyanogen 5.0.8).
Cyanogen 6.0 Alpha is out with nightly builds, looks surprisingly stable for a 2.2 ROM! Going to flick over to it for a little while when bored, thank god for nandroid backups though.
I keep getting temped by the vanilla roms but I like some of the htc things like the peoples tab and the messages and mail tabs.
Yeah it all depends on how you use the phone and if you actually use some of the benefits it brings... I guess for me, they had apps that do the HTC stuff I wanted better or Android 2.1 already had that feature.
I like the Facebook & Twitter integration with your contact list, but I'm not a fan of widgets apart from the flipclock and the calender - so I have PureCalender installed and Fancy Widget which is a more customizable version of the Flipclock. And the latest ROM's have Facebook and Twitter integration now too, although it isn't as good as the Sense version, it's still what I wanted.
Other than that, the general responsiveness vs the latest tweaked Sense 2.1 release is visible... you can also use JIT as a stable environment, but it creates quite the battery drain :(
What kind of data usage are you guys getting through?
Just wondering if 500mb monthly is likely to be enough for me, on my homescreen I have both the twitter and weather widgets plus I have push email setup. I\'m not entirely sure about what kinda data they use and what the other syncing stuff uses..
I use between 300 and 550 meg a month
Know of any app to keep an eye on usage at all?
