Which is the best of this lot?

Well, My contract is up for renewing so I have to decide which phone I want. I don't want to pay for the phone so it boils down to what ones they are offering at my standard contract cost.

Ones I can have without paying extra are - Nokia 6220, Nokia 6700, LG Viewty KU990i, LG KF310.

My contract is with 3 and I'm more than pleased with the coverage service. I could be persuaded to go to o2 or Vodaphone if I could get a better deal.

    At the moment I get 1100mins(any network) + 300mins 3 to 3 for £20 a month.

    Thanks

Re: Which is the best of this lot?

Old midrange feature-phones? Hardly a stellar selection tbh

The KU990i is the most *expensive* of the lot, but really, MEH with a capital M, E, and H.

    6220: Released July 2008, about £150 SIM-free
    6700: Released May 2009, about £135 SIM-free
    KU990i: Released October 2007, about £170 SIM-free (I had one of these, don't bother)
KF310: Released May 2007, not sold anywhere anymore so no idea on price

Re: Which is the best of this lot?

I'm sure when I looked earlier you said the Nokia 6700 was the most expensive

Well, Like I said I don't want to have to pay extra per month for a phone. If there is nothing worth having I'll just stay as I am.

I'm not going to pay an Extra £20 a month for a Nokia N96 as much as I'd like one.

If you had to choose a phone from the Three range, Which ones would you choose?

Thanks for the info - It is appreciated.

Most networks allow you to part-pay for your phone up front, i.e. £20-a-month-plus-1-off-£X for a given model. It's odd for 3 not to do it.

3 have the worst phone range on the market tbh, I wouldn't be happy with any of them

The best of an average bunch there is the 6700, 5MP camera, GPS and it has the nokia maps on the mem card that comes with it. Personally I dont like the way it looks but its functional.

I'd get the 6220 - Symbian OS, so multitasking, Sat Nav, lots of apps, etc. Also has a xenon flash too.

Re: Which is the best of this lot?

A poor selection on a cheap contract. Why on earth would u go for one of those phones when they will feel positively archaic well before the end of ure 18 month contract....

Think long and hard before u make your mind, there steep many good new phones coming out over the next few weeks.

Get a new contract, don't renew

Call their retentions team, find a VERY good deal and tell them you are going to the competition unless you can get a better phone.

If they try to fob you off saying you can't transfer your number get a PAYG sim card (free usually) then you can transfer to that then to the new contract

I'm just going to wait at the moment. The problem is all the phone companies are offering poor deals at the moment unless you spend loads a month... Which I don't want to.

At least it's QVGA with a proper OS - better than S60 on WQXGA
