    PAYG phone with rental SIM?

I haven't bought a mobile phone in 14 years.....I have been using a company mobile in that time but the newest ones we have been given are appauling to use......so I am thinking of buying my own.

I have noticed a number of good deals for PAYG phones and was wondering if I could buy one of those and insert the SIM card from my works phone into it instead of using it as PAYG?

    Anyone have any experience?

The best and probaly less hassle free way to buy a PAYG phone from the same company as oyur work phone is on (eg Tmobile for Tmobile etc) and just insert the sim card.
You may have to change the settings for things like internet etc but it's not normally to hard.

If there's a phone that is carrier exclusive and you really want it you could buy it and get it unlocked but that's probaly not really worth it as i've heard people have had problems after doing that.

Yes you could do that quite easily. The only problem is that as said above, you may need to unlock the phone if its locked to a different network. It will cost about £10 or so, and if done properly there should be no problems.
