Having tried google but can't find the answer.

Is there any way of selecting multiple items in the files explorer option?

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

    Online manual says;

To manage files on your phone using File Explorer
File Explorer lets you browse and manage the contents of your phone. The root folder on the phone is named My Device, and contains the following folders: My Documents, Program Files, Windows, and more.
    1. Tap Start > File Explorer.
    2. Tap a folder or file to open it.
    3. To return to an upper level folder, tap Up.
    4. To quickly delete, rename, or copy a file, press and hold the file, and then choose the desired operation on the shortcut menu. To copy or delete multiple files, tap and drag over the desired files, press and hold the selection, and then choose an option from the menu.

Which doesn't work in the slightest...

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Finally got round to installing the 1.66 rom, windows 7 64bit not syncing with my phone was causing me problems.

So far so good, anyone had 1.66 for a while?

Is the SMS doesn't send bug fixed?

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

I still have the oringinal ROM because I'm on o2 and am pretty sure they haven't released any updates.

The phone is awesome but I am finding the on-board amount of memory to be problematic. The files stored in the cache (which automatically goes to on-board memory, instead of my memory card) can fill up the phone in a little over a week. This means I have to deleted the files manually which takes too much time.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Should be yes, it meets all of the hardware requirements for WM7 and rumour has it that it will be a free upgrade..

Even if its not it wont take long for the chef's to cook up a version that'll work

Maybe. In nine months when it gets released. And we'll all be too busy drooling over the HD3 or whatever else has been released since.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Just picked mine up at the weekend from Phones 4 U (hand signals obligatory) as an upgrade on Orange that I didn't know I could get

Still getting used to the capacitive screen after 16 months using a resistive screen (Samsung F430 [Tocco]) but it's working very well. Amusingly the HD2's screen is as wide as my old phones' screen was tall!

This might mean that there won't be an "official" upgrade ROM to W7

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Someone at microsoft apparently commented recently that the HD2 won't run Win 7 as it doesn't have the 3 hardware buttons needed.

Only time will tell I think(although I bet there will be "unofficial" upgrades to it from XDA as usual)

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

It is a pretty stupid reason to say it's not supported, because it has 5 buttons instead of 3. If that's the only requirement it doesn't meet I can't see what would prevent them being disabled or non-responsive for W7

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Article at APC mag with microsoft's comments

Wouldn't be suprised if they said that because they don't want everyone getting a HD2 now(or at win7 launch when it will be cheaper) and upgrading.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

They have a set of rules to ensure WM7 hardware and software remains a consistent experience. They shouldn't make exceptions, not even for the HD2.
