    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Quick question folks, I've had an HD2 for a month now, and afetr a 3 week holiday am just starting to get to use it properly.

I'm running the standard T-Mobile rom as they've not released any further ones yet, and one thing I don't seem to have is a coverflow view for albums. I don't have that many on there yet, 6 or 7, but by default I only get coverflow working for the indivdial songs in an album.

Is there a way to change this, as currently I need to go to the library and then choose the album, and it's a bit annoying. I don't know if something that got fixed in later roms, or if other users are using some form of WMP for the phone. Any ideas?

    Cheers!

I get it for albums (using Leo Lite Rom 3.1 i believe).

You could always hardspl your phone, and flash a rom of your choice. Other than that have you tried the button to automatically obtain album art (top left in horizontal view)?

For information on hardspl and other roms, xda-developers.com then the leo (hd2) section.

Yeah, tried the album are thing, no luck. I just get a single album showing that I can scroll through track by track.

I've already bookmarked all the xda and HTCpedia stuff, so when I have time I'll look into it further.

    Cheers!

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Rumours of a leaked version of windows phone 7 running on a HD2 are curently doing the rounds
    http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news5648.html

If a leaked rom appears on xdadev I wouldnt be suprised if MS unleashed the lawyers

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Not suprising it works so well since the HD2 specs are pretty much what MS required specs are.

But pretty cool to see working demo, before W7 mobile is even out.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Isn't there a question mark as to whether that is real or fake?

If I knew that the HD2 COULD DEFINITELY be upgraded to Windows Phone 7, I might get one now as I am due an upgrade. But its still uncertain. MS have to draw the line somewhere, and I think that was it with its 'must have' specifications.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Microsoft are not going to update the HD2 to win7. XDA will. So you will be able to run win mob 7 on it, just not officially. There is no better phone out there at the moment that can beat it anyway.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

it would be a bonus, and something to try out when Xda's chaps port it over...although I wouldn't see that as deal decider for me, just enjoying the phone as it is right now. I could never go back to a normal phone, or a smart phone with a screen and functions less than this. :-/
