I'm going to be the guy everyone hates but if you can, iphone it. I am a previous HTC user and they are nice, but the iphone just goes that extra mile. (Sorry in advance!)
Like i said above your post mate.... I got the HTC HD2. It is far superior to the iphone and i did look at both.

My cousin has the iphone and suprisingly wont stop complaining!. He borrowed my Lg renoir for a few days since he needed to take some ok shots and wanted to try something else, came back saying how much better it was!. He said although the touch screen is worse on the renoir (no multi touch and its resistive) it was overall better in ease or use and reliability? :L. I dont use the iphone as id never have the cash for such a machine and my needs are Camera/calls/text.
Im waiting for LG to bring out their new 12MP touch screen phone, that will probably be my next one! Or the pixon 12, looks good.
BlackBerry Bold 9700 is one of the best phone. It is most powerful, polished handset ever. This screen is dazzling and it is one of the attractive pieces of kit on the whole market. It has many advantages which you want. Looks like a very, very nice unit for competition with the iPhone. I think that's a good comparison.
Like i said..................
Already bought the HTC HD2. Read posts first Welcome.... better ways to up post count

Lo mate yea I love it. It has a few niggles but not enough to make you dislike it and its much better than any other phone available. The only thing better about the Nexus is the screen...
As for what I got. Its a 24 month contract on Vodafone.... I know 24 months.....
For that I get 600 mins - Unlimited texts and Unlimited Internet.
The only con about the phone is battery life. You get about a day out of it. Hopefully a better stronger battery will be released for it....

Hmm, i think ill be leaving Vodafone (unless they offer me a good deal tomorrow!) and go for the Virgin mobile one for 18months as its well cheap and id get 2 months free! .
Em so the battery life, is that just because you have been playing around with it a lot? I tend to have my renoir on 20% brightness and use alot of texting and i get about 2-3 days out of it (calls kill it!).
have you tried video playback? Any good? This is my main concern as i want a phone for texting/video(odd call too!) and i do see reviews praise its screen quality but a personal opinion is always good!.
Edit: Aftert getting off the phone with virgin, all they could offer was a htc magic or the... iphone >.<. I dont want either of them so ill just have to see what the stores can provide by paying off the remainder 2months on it
To be honest mate 1 day is all you should expect from this phone. Maybe a bit more with the settings you use etc but there is a lot going on under this hood..... Theres a lot more tinkering I have to do to be honest because due to exam I haven't had much chance....
Video qulaity is excellent and you should use this tool for converting http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112
But again battery does suffer.... I haven't really watched a full show so can't say how long the battery would last for.
It is an excellent phone though!!

Yeh im not expecting battery to last to long, a day is fine really cause i always have access to a charger .
few more questions for you
1. Your opinion on the protruding camera? I can just see it getting damaged and with a phone like this i would of expected it to be indented, however i think it shouldnt bother me to much as my renoir has the manual shutter that protrudes alot .
2. Overall feel of the device? Is it in a full metal casing or mostly plastic?
3. Is the camera, acceptable in your opinion? HTC have never had good cameras IIRC but im taking a step down in this area and would hope they are still 'ok'.
4. Most important for me, is there a landscape qwerty keyboard for texting etc? I have looked at videos but none have shown this, its a feature i use alot with my current phone.
5. Any other niggles bar the battery life? I heard sometimes the device can lag majorly, have you noticed this? (it seems like only a few reviews mentioned this though).
Thanks for your time.
1. The camera sticking out doesnt annoy me to be honest. Make sure you buy a good case for it (most gd ones are out of stock at the minute though ) The leather pouch you get with it is pretty good. Im still using it.
2. It has an excellent feel. The screen itself is glass! Yes glass none of that plastic piss. It is also metal cased. Think at the top and bottom there is a rubber inda thing for grip. Its a solid device though.
3. I dont like the camera to be honest. It was almost a deal breaker for me because i've always had sony erricsons. It is acceptable I guess but im going to buy a digital camera as its just not good enough in my opinion. I was going to get the Satio because I wanted a good camera but to be honest. You see this phone and you cant say no.........
4. Yes there is landscape keyboard
5. It can lag sometoimes but just go into task manager and shut down what your not using. Other than that you can just restart the phone!! Normally though its fast.... Apart from the sms section but this appears to be a bug thats going to get fixed.

1. What case would you recommend? Ill probably buy a skin from bestskinsever.com again, however its not listed so have emailed them about selling it .
2. I love and hate resistive, my renoir plastic part goes in so far i feel im gunna break it but at the same time i have the feel of actually pressing it . Love metal devices, win in my book .
3. Yes this is the thing i was afraid of, oh well i guess sacrifices have to be made somewhere.
4. Good.
5. Good its fixed .
Adding one more, seen it in flesh today and though it was pretty nice and easy to hold however i didnt get chance to put it in my pocket to see how it is there. Is this device pocket friendly?
Thanks for replies mate, appreciated .

Im looking that case mate. It seems all the nice ones are out of stock.....
I never have any problems with it in my pocket to be honest. Its bigger than most phones obviously but Its thinner than a lot too I can't see you have any problems

£30!? Thats loads , time for ebay for a cheap chinese knock off tbh .
Yeh i dont think it will be a problem but my dad mentioned how he disliked the iphone for being big in pocket, i doubt i feel the same .
I should get one if the virgin mobile deal is still going or better ones, just have to wait 2 months for the end of my vodafone contract cause phones4u or carphonewarehouse didnt offer me anything good (£35 a month for 2 years and ****e calls/minutes, CPW said HTC had discontinued the HD2 and to get the iphone, wonder why) so im forced to wait out my contract .
edt: Surely this is one to look at mate? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-FLIP-LEA...item2557f09f74
