Clever phones - But which?
Right, I got no clue when it comes to smartphones.
Currently have a C905 and while I like it's camera I am finding I'd like to do more with the phone. Using Wi-fi and the net through my hone network is fine but the screen is too small and the browsing experience is rather slow.
So I'm looking for a phone I can outright buy...and please no iPhone.
No idea on budget yet though paying £400-500 outright to have a phone is silly money.
I'd like a touch screen phone that is basically a gadget I can play with :D I quite like my friend's Google Phone G1. Oh and no blackberry either.
Suggestions greatly appreciated. :)
Re: Clever phones - But which?
HTC Hero? or if u wanna pay.... HTC HD2
Re: Clever phones - But which?
What about the iPhone?
;)
Seriously though, i'd wait until the new HTC's are out, and probably go for one of the hardware qwerty ones, or see how Googles Nexus pans out.
I expect a 1ghz snapdragon with android 2.1 and qwerty won't be far off...
Re: Clever phones - But which?
Ooo like the look of Hero. :) Watching youtube videos of it. It does seem to suffer from slight lag though :(
Not too sure how long I can wait :P Guess I just would like a new gadget to play with. :D I\'d assume, TAKTAK, that the new HTCs and Google Nexus will be quite pricey and will push it into silly money territory.

I'm looking it also mate but im not willing to pay near £800 over two years for it. Will wait tilla fter xmas and see what the deals are like. Will Win 7 be free for it though? I think they will unfortunatly charge for it.
You should do a mini review with pictures on it :D

Every other release has been cooked for free, even if it never arrives via the vendor, so I don't see why 7 would be any different.
Besides, MS need to everything they can to get back at the iPhone and so on, so I can't see how forcing charges on everybody is going to assist them.
Re: Clever phones - But which?
Well the rumour says its a free upgrade, one of the reasons the HD2 has the capacitive screen if because of WM7's requirements set, shame as I prefer resistive but still..
And yes, the cooks will be all over WM7, there are already people chomping at the bit to mod the HD2's ROM's but there having to wait for it to be SPL cracked..
Re: Clever phones - But which?
Hmm watched the HD2 video and it's not quite my cup of tea (though could be wrong). The Google Nexus looks like it is shaping up to be the phone to buy (for me at least). Hope it gets released soon.

Where did you unlock for £10? I received mine yesterday and I'm considering getting it unlocked. The cheapest I have seen it for is £12.
Great phone btw and a bargain at £100 :)
Re: Clever phones - But which?
Hmm, i only see the Pulse at £137.01

Also, T-mobile PAYG "top up £10 and get free netz and texts each month" sounds far too good to be true...what is the catch?

Hmm...a friend recommends the HTC G2...
Thoughts people? It's like £330 to buy sim free/unlocked.
Re: Clever phones - But which?
The HTC G2 is better then the pulse, but I'm not sure if it warrants being double in price. Here are 2 reviews to help make up your mind.
