Re: Constant calls from an unknown number
I've been getting a call from an unknown number on que at around 8pm every day for the last 4 days, somehow I keep managing to miss the call.. keep leaving my phone upstairs and such.
The thing is, it's a new phone and only 1 single person has access to this (very very strict) line.
Bleh! I guess the only way I can find out who's calling is by answering it.
Edit: Well I caught the call today, turned out to be Orange but why they're calling from unknowm I don't know.
Re: Constant calls from an unknown number
I'm so glad I found someone else who has been having the same issue. Mine has been happening for a while now. for the past year and a half I have been getting phone calls between 3-4 am. about 2-3 days a week. Never just one call. Usually I'll get between 3 and 4. The numbers are never blocked, but they are from random cities and states across the USA. Never the same number, and never a number that I know. This morning, (7/21/10) I received 8 of those phone calls. The were from WI, SC, NE, TX, NJ, IN, and two from NV. I'm currently in Oklahoma. Most every time I wake up to answer the call it just simply hangs up. There have been maybe 4 or 5 times since this began a year and a half ago that somebody DID say something. But it was generally them just saying they had the wrong number. When I call these people back the next morning it is ALWAYS the same response no matter who answers. They say that they never called me. When I talk to AT&T they say they have never heard of it, and just suggest that I change my number, which I've had for over 8 years. I have another friend with Sprint who this just started happening to about 3 weeks ago, so I don't believe it has to do with my provider, or my phone number. ANY thoughts would be appreciated!!
Re: Constant calls from an unknown number
It won't be orange if you're in the states ;)
Re: Constant calls from an unknown number
Guess that means nobody knows.
Re: Constant calls from an unknown number
If AT&T aren't willing to help, there's not much you can do, I guess. Here in the UK it's an offence to keep making nuisance calls like that. Have you asked them whether they keep records of your incoming calls?
