    I didn't know there was a limit at all. Makes me glad I run Windows Mobile now

    Yeah same here with my Android G1. Can't believe they limited the 3G download on the iPhone. I think the most I have ever grabbed on 3g in one go was around 400mb xD took a while but it was my only option at the time.

    When I was working away, instead of paying for WiFi at each hotel we were in, I tethered my laptop to my phone and browsed away. Often the internet was quicker than my colleagues who were using the Hotel WiFi too

    Yup, that's what I normally do as well Dave.

    I don't think this download limit is really for web downloads, it's more to do with over the air iTunes or App downloads. (I could be wrong on this).

    I haven't done it, but a friend of mine refused to bay £6 (:O) for 90minutes of wireless in a hotel recently, so downloaded an app on his Google Dev phone turning it into an access point, and shared his 3G connection with his and his girfriends laptops.
