HTC Desire + Alternatives + DSR

    Hey,

    I've got a question (or two) -

What do you think of the HTC Desire for a medium phone user? It would be ensured under home's content (personal belongings ensurance), incase it gets teethed/etc. Is it worth £440? - Anything which would be negative about it? What are its alternatives? N900? - Dont suggest the HTC Legend, for £50 less it aint worth it.

Getting it from Amazon, how am I covered by their refunds polciy / distant selling regulations? Ie, I can return it once I have it, what about testing it?

    All answers well appreciated

    Thanks

    Nel

Well I love my touch HD2, but I feel shafted so badly by the no offical win7 thing, I feel like they've violated me as if I was a mac fan.

As such I'd probably be looking at the desire right now, but I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, your looking at it off contract?

I bought my HD2 on a 12 month contract, with an upfront cost of £70 or something, the total cost works out to be £30 more than buying it on pre-pay at the time. I of course have plenty of minuites and texts, but most importantly a good fair useage unlimited internet. As these phones really make you want to use data on the go, I'd strongly recommend going for one where you know what your total data cost of operating will be, and price it in from the start.
