The android pouch for my phone came today

I was surprised with it actually, its a perfect solution for just carrying it around. Its most probably not an official Google case (seing as it was from Hong Kong) but I cant imagine Google would go to much length with theirs in terms of quality.

Its a neoprene slip pouch which means theres no zip at the top to scratch the phone and its easy to slip in and out.

Theres a soft lining inside the pouch and on the lip at the top which stops the device from getting scratched.

It was delivered in less than a week, which is good considering most air cargo is delayed still due to the ash... Anyway its all pretty good for £3.50.

Mine's been delayed. AGAIN. It will be another two weeks before I can get mine and that’s if its not delayed further... Absolutely awful.

I called expansys yesterday (Monday) and they said that they WILL be getting them in Wednesday and today its been delayed until June 5th... I called them today saying that its been delayed twice now and all they could offer me was an apology. Rubbish.

Their dates are soo vague as well, there was no way I could tell that it was going to be dodgy when I ordered it. Amazon seems to be able to meet their dates (they're slightly more realistic though).

It will be over a month since I ordered it by June 5th. If it wasn’t such an amazing phone it would be obsolete by now.

if anyone's with o2 on the sim only deals (or coming to the end of your contract) you can pick up a Desire for £285 delivered.

Its where I have been getting mine from (we've bought three now as one of them, a week old met death by liquid...)

Its delivered next day at the moment as well..(we ordered the replacement Monday night - its due to be delivered today.

Follow these instructions if interested (you can add the cost to your next bill or pay by CC)

Here's what you need to do:

Phone 202 - press option 2, option 2 and then finally the third option 2 for the 'if you're thinking of leaving o2'
DO NOT CALL SALES OR UPGRADES - YOU MUST CALL THROUGH TO 202, opt 2, opt 2 and opt 2.

When you get through say you would like to buy a HTC desire for £285 - do not mention your renewal, don't mention upgrades - they did offer me a deal on the HTC desire on a 18 month - but if you want to buy the handset outright you have to do the above.

The desire has some kind of dolby digital integration for sound playback.

It also doesnt have a built in EQ that you can tweek

Anyone else's Facebook widget broke?

Had the Desire for nearly a month now and love the damn thing but one problem I have is with the wi-fi.

It seems like it has really poor wi-fi range, for example, my flatmates room is next to mine and he can use the wi-fi (router located in my room about 8 meters away) on his iPhone perfectly fine. When I'm in his room trying to use it with my Desire it just drops the connection cause it seems so weak.

Anyone else having range issues or got any tips?

Maybe have a look into what radio version you have and if you can change it? Latest isn't always greatest. I don't like the newer one on my N1.

bit late and probably fixed by now, but its the server and not your app... affecting everyone that uses it and not just desire peeps... not that i use it or anything you understand

Im actually finding that the webapp (the i-touch one lol) is better and more useful then the actual app.

MD I am so greatful to you for this, just rang O2 off my GF's phone (I'm on Orange) and asked to Order one and they were very obliging to do so, I get my Desire on Tuesday / Wednesday and paid £285 including delivery. I made sure with the guy on the phone that this does not affect my GF's contract in any way and he said that was correct, effectively I was buying a pay as you go phone that I could do what I like with.
