Finally, a week late, my Desire is being shipped today, can't wait to have a play with it!

HTC already said the desire will get it.. The Hero however probably won't (officially!)

Random question, once I make a GoldCard, does it stay a GoldCard forever? For example, I made my GoldCard and successfully flashed my Desire, and ever since I have been using it like a normal SD card. And now I want to flash another image/ROM, do I need to re-make the GoldCard? Or does it still have its GoldCard "status"? Any ideas?
While not a Desire issue specifically, one thing which bugs me is the way Google Contacts handles pictures for your contacts. They are downscaled to a very pixelated image when synced with Google. The only viable way round this is to create a new phone contact, apply the image then link it and use the phones contact as the default image.
Its really annoying because when someone rings you get a distorted image. Sucks. Been like it since Hero days. Google have yet to sort this out!
1.21.405.2 here ... But then its an unbranded handset.![]()
Anyone have any easy way to export contacts from (stored on the) phone to a word (or some such) document listing the names and numbers?
Well you asked for an easy way. If you have outlook installed (which I assume so, if you have word installed) then this is the easiest way, just download HTC Sync.
I don't use outlook either... except to sync contacts/calendar for backup purposes and to migrate contacts/calendar from WM to Android.
If you want a more long winded way (not sure why) then I am sure someone else will be able to suggest something![]()
