    That's Quadrant.

For the record, I'm getting 1100 on my Samsung Galaxy S on 2.1. If I change my apps partition to Ext4, people are scoring 1700! I can't wait for a decent FroYo ROM on this phone

I'm running a 2.2 Sense ROM. If I can be arsed, I'll load up bare 2.2 and run it again

Yeah just found and installed it. Scoring 1327 on my 2.2 Desire & 1501 on my 2.2 Nexus One. You do seem to get a higher score after running the benchmark a couple of times and the Nexus appears to complete the I/O tests much quicker than the Desire.

I dont spend that much time looking. No need to appear so suprised we dont all share a brain just because we have the same phone

Was going to root my phone last weekend, probably lucky I didn't. I don't mind having to wait a couple more weeks but I seriously need 2.2 in my life.

But we don't know if the 2.2 from HTC will make your phone unrootable

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

That's good news, but it'll mean I have to reboot, ruining my phone's (now nearly 900 hour) uptime.

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

Engadget reports HTC starting the 2.2 roll-out today (I think, it was late when I read it)

I'm seriously fed up of the music player/album art issue with this phone (or should I say OS)
Ripped CDs fine, art works in itunes & mediaplayer, some dont have artwork so I put a jpg in the same folder...

Some show up, some don't...there doesn't seem to be a pattern to what works & what doesn't (eg embedded vs jpg in the folder)

Spent ages googling but no joy, can see that the phone makes a seperate 'Album Art' folder with no file type (but open fine as images) but why isn't it doing it for some? I can't work out where it gets the file names from so can't fake it either

    Aaaaarrrrgghh!

Didn't like it when I tried it :/

    The PC app is pants.
The media player picks up the artwork so I guess I'll use this from now on then! Are there any lockscreen options for it like the stock player has?
