    Htc evo

Anyone know if any service providers in the UK will be selling this in Summer? Looks like the best phone yet...

    Re: Htc evo

I doubt it to be honest, the Evo is a 4G/WiMAX phone, and as far as I know the UK is heading down the 4G/LTE route, so it wouldn't be compatible in its current state.

I have heard that o2 are currently rolling out their 4G upgrades after their successful trials at the end of last year, but nothing official. I'd expect o2 to be ready at least in major cities with their 4G support by the end on june in preparation for the 4G iPhone which is expected around then.

So probably no Evo yet but something similar may come later in the year when 4G is more established..

Very unlikely as there are no 4G services available in the UK at all yet, some networks are currently testing 4G / LTE and so you should expect handsets this time next year I reckon, by which time there will be something even better from HTC!

    Re: Htc evo

I wonder if a phone based on the Evo will come out though - HDMI out port, for example.
