hello nice to join such a friendly forum

Where to start ! I was a disillusioned lie-phone owner and after some problems I manager to het the device to work reasonably well thanks to Cydia. However on my last trip to the UK the piece of APPLE rubbish would not start in fact it is confirmed dead !
I lost an amount of personal data although I am sure this all part of the Apple experience
I have bought an HTC Desire which I must say is fantastic so far.
I am only missing one thing .....
    Skype
    where is it ?
I have traulled the internet with no luck while Skype say the deeire is not supported, I find this some what unbelievable there must be some way of installing it on the Android platform
So does anybody have any suggestions. (please)

Hi. I've never used Skype and am currently waiting for my HTC Desire to arrive, but would this be what you are after?

Does Nimbuzz allow voice calls though? Someone told me Fring was the only one that allowed calls and that Nimbuzz doesn't...

I've not had chance to test it yet though.

There's got to be a platform to work with Skype, thousands of people, if not more, use android, I'm pretty sure theres more than just one platform for it. I don't think you looked hard enough for it on the net haha. I'm planning on switching to android soon too. Either the Desire or the Legend. I like the desire because it has a faster processor, but honestly I like the design on the Legend better. I've been using my Nokia e71, then Blackberry 9000. Was going to buy the Bold 9700, but due to some contractual issues, I got out of the Blackberry contract and am using my e71 for now.
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz, 2 GB DDR2, 500GB SATA-II 7200RPM, nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512mb, BenQ E2200 HD, BenQ G2412HD, Logitech S510 Wireless set, Creative GigaWorks T3 Speakers.
