    HTC Hero Texting Problems

    Hi Guys,

I've got a HTC Hero (T-Mobile G2 Touch), and I'm having a bit of trouble with the texting.

It's been working fine for 3 months? Now all of a sudden, with this one number I've started to text, I can not reply to the messages when I receive one.

Instead I have to edit the number I'm sending it to from 447********* to the usual +447********* or 07*********, which isn't practical every time i want to send a message.

I've checked the number and it's saved under the contact as 07********* and it makes no difference wether it's 0 or +44, still defaults to 447******* when I receive a text. Any way round this? If that even makes sense?

    Thanks

    It's 4.98*

That's an odd one, have you tried deleting the sms thread and contact then re-adding the number to see if t makes any difference?

Quite possibly makes no difference but have you got the mobile number entered under "mobile" and not "home"?

Yeah I have tried deleting the thread and contact, same thing happens even when the number isnt stored

Definetly stored as mobile and not home, will try deleting the thread again and see if I get anywhere.

EDIT: Seems to be working fine after I'd tried that again, odd.

I kind of have the same problem with my e71 except it doesn't show the names, even if I have the numbers saved in every single format or variation.... it's weird..
