Went for the £35 x 18months (600mins, unlim txt, 1GB) + £90 Quidco (if it tracks!) + I get a 20% line rental discount from work so £414/18months = £23/m average.
Ordered it last Fri, big delays according to the Voda forums but just got an email today saying it's been shipped to store

i'm sure ye will not regret getting the desire.
Ended up getting the galaxy s, the desire is on a 2-3 week waiting list because of the short stock, getting the galaxy s means im also guaranteed an AMOLED screen as with the shortages HTC are switching to lcd

I did like the galaxy s but the extra per month and the fact its a Samsung put me off

The Desire felt great.... but to me it was just a style difference with the tracker and physical buttons vs screen size and style, it's deceptively large too, it's only a touch bigger than a 3G iPhone and is actually thinner
I'm looking at getting one of the motorola droids. It's a bit of a shame they have the camera bump on the x but i guess no ones perfect.
Otherwise go for the htc desire.

Shame I didn't have a proper camera + tripod or I'd show off some of the other features and performance in 3d gaming, check the nexus vs Galaxy S Quake 2 (possibly quake 3) demo to see what I mean
